10 Reasons not to stay home

 Good morning from Newport!
It was a beautiful day on the coast
North of Pacific City where there are a lot less people on the beach
I took a little hike in the woods to see some waterfalls
And I didn't eat any of the cute mini mushrooms
But I did stop and take a picture of this random wall
And in Rockaway, I went to see the Oregon Du Drops
Above Manzanita, again, where there were about a million less people and the view was no less amazing
One of my favorite rocky beaches is Hug Point. Growing up we didn't have a lot of sandy beaches on our island. There is actually a "Sandy Beach" but it is more shells and little rocks than real sand. Maybe that's why I like the rocky shores here

Who can resist a nice drive on the beach just before sunset!
And goodnight from Astoria :)

All in all it was a good day. I got to see a ton of beautiful sights, ignore everyone, crank up some driving music and just go. Sometimes the days you spend with yourself are the ones you really look forward too.

54: Leave Me Alone

I took a well deserved day to myself recently and while sitting alone on the beach, this design came to mind. I like the above shot with the sunny window behind. It really makes the colors 'pop'. A glass frame for in front of a window would be perfect for this.

53: Binding

Binding your heart.

This small wire sculpture with beads was a huge pain in the ass to get right. It made me bleed my own blood and no one makes me bleed my own blood!

52: Shake Well

Bottle cap magnets I made with some scrapbook paper, magnets, polymer and (you guessed it) bottle caps.

51: Being Stuck

 with you for eternity...

Another mini canvas

50: He Took His Time

49: Tell Me

Tell me, what's so great about life?

Mini canvas and a few lines from my favorite line book.

48: Where is my cabana boy?!

Which one of you has my cabana boy?! I need my cabana boy returned STAT!

McGriddle Pants wants me to inspire all of you, my lovely groupies by telling them how to be crafty and such. So I'll try to remember from now on. Today = Sharpies. Gotta love 'em.

47: **nom**

Nothing yummier than a tasty fishy on my plate. For the next major (or minor) holiday, I would please like fishing gear... oh, and booze. Can't forget the booze. Who wants to fish sober?! BWAAHAHAH!
Yeah, no one.

46: Is spring here YET?!?!?

 Is spring here YET?!?!

All of my flowers in the garden think so, popping their little heads up, zombie prom season is right around the corner, and I even hear the Girl Scouts have started selling cookies. Yet that bastard weather man seems to think it's funny to predict snow NOW. Like he promised me allllll effen winter long. "Snow, snow, snow!" What he really meant was "Lies, lies, lies."  Now I've gone and made plans this weekend to enjoy the start of spring and whatta ya know, he's predicting snow again. Pshhhh, like that's gonna stop me!

45: It's Only Natural

It's only natural to put birds on things.

Holy god I crack myself up.

42: Tweedle Dee

Putting birds on things is more challenging then you would imagine. For instance, day 34's bird didn't take. Stupid thing fell off. So I've been looking at it, frustrated for days, trying to decided what to do. Last night McGriddle Pants had a suggestion, something about rolling around in paint and being a peeper.... (I promise, the idea is not nearly as dirty as it seems) I'll try that this weekend and keep you posted!

41: Tweet

I think they are adorable.

40: For the birds!

I'll get sick of putting birds on things eventually.

39: Absolutely Nothing

Sometimes absolutely nothing is the answer

38: Deuce

If I were to get a pet owl, I'd choose the one with the craaaazy eyes! And I would hug him and pet him and love him and call him Deuce.

37: Tweet-a-riffic

I can't won't stop putting birds on things until you all know what I'm talking about when I say I want to put birds on things.

36: What a Hoot!

Honestly, if this owl doesn't make you smile, you may not have a soul.

His pals are pretty awesome too.

35: Blooms
