74: Squarezzzz

Fridge magnet in pink

It looks better on the fridge than on my desk. I put it on a picture of my little brother Squashie, ya know, the one with him in his black sheep shirt, hot dog in his open mouth drinking a Busch NA he poured Bud Light into. Ahhhh, the good ol days. The pink really brings out his eyes....

73: For not seeing you

- For not seeing you -

Check out my baby cacti! There are about 30 here in my office. McGriddle Pants brought me some seeds when she went to AZ. It's safe to say this is only half of them. They really seem to like the light here in the window. I figure when my daughter decides to start sneaking out I'll replant them under every window in the house :)
I'm told these are wild geraniums volunteering in this pot - it's actually kinda neat.... until you stick your hand in from below to check the soil moisture and poke the crap out of yourself **face palm**

(ps. don't face palm for real after accidentally sticking your hand in a pot full of cacti)

72: For what?

Ohhhh you know!!

Matching textured mini canvas. I think this will be another 3 parter. I mean I've gotta answer that right?

71: Not quite ready

I'm not quite ready for that - mini canvas

70: Scared him away

I've probably scared him away forever.
Isn't that what we are afraid of?

Mini canvas - looks cool in this light, but it's really silver, see...

Funny thing is I don't usually scare them away. I usually break them...somehow... I'm still trying to ponder what I do different. I'll let you know if I figure it out.

69: Mother Trucker

I spent HOURS with sharpies plotting and doodling and making this piece for a magnetic fridge frame.
And then when I got home from work, I adhered it to the magnet paper and placed it on the fridge to dry flat. I then carefully cut it out, as I didn't make it completely straight corners and such (on purpose?..... maaaaaybe). If I wanted it to last for a while on the fridge, with child fingers moving it around, water splashes from the sink an so forth, I needed to seal it with acrylic spray. So I sprayed it. It looked all shiny and pretty. I even took a picture and sent it to The Boy.
Text: 8:59pm "Now it's got a fresh glossy coat!"
"Very nice baby"

So, I go out to the garage just before bed to check and see how pretty my project is and whadda effen know. The Sharpies bled. I was soooooo angry!

Now it's all muted and gross looking. I'm still super pissed but I'm not going to let that stop me from trying again. I've got about 6 hours left in my work day....
